This policy covers cookies and similar storage and access technologies on theperchsearch.co.uk. A cookie is a small file stored by a browser; local storage can also remember information on your device. UK privacy rules apply to similar technologies, not just files called cookies.

2. Sign-in and essential storage

Our authentication service uses local storage to retain your session so you can access your account without signing in again on every page. The stored value includes session tokens and account information. It is not an advertising identifier. The session can persist between visits until sign-out, clearing storage or expiry; tokens may be refreshed while the session remains active.

Storage strictly necessary to deliver a service you request, such as secure sign-in, does not require cookie consent, but we must explain its use. Do not share device storage or session tokens. Clearing storage can sign you out; signing out does not erase your account from our records.

3. Payments and external services

When you open checkout or the payment-management portal, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for payment operation, authentication and fraud prevention. The precise names, lifetimes and purposes depend on the payment service and may change. See Stripe’s Cookie policy for its information and choices.

Choosing Google sign-in opens Google’s authentication service, which may use its own cookies under its policies. External fonts also make requests to Google; a network request is not itself necessarily a cookie. Our service providers may process request information for security and operation.

4. Analytics, advertising and consent

No advertising pixels or optional analytics tools have been deliberately added to the current marketplace application. That is not a guarantee that every hosting or payment provider uses no additional technology; a live-service audit of provider storage and durations is still needed before this draft is finalised.

If we introduce technology that requires consent, we must ask before it is used, explain its purposes and offer a way to refuse and later withdraw consent. Browsing the site or reading this policy is not consent. A policy alone does not replace any consent controls required by UK law.

5. Your browser choices

  • Use your browser’s privacy settings to inspect, delete or block cookies and site data for this website.
  • Use a private browsing window if you do not want a sign-in session to remain on a shared device.
  • Sign out when finished on shared devices. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or payment functions from working.
  • For data already sent to us, use the rights described in our Privacy policy; deleting browser storage does not delete server-held information.

6. More information and changes

For questions, write to PARRAGON LTD at the address above. See the ICO’s information about cookies. We will update this policy when the technologies used on the service change.
